FOR PRESIDENT – ASI
A LEADER WHO UNDERSTANDS. A LEADER WHO DELIVERS.
Candidate for President
Association of Surgeons of India
My journey with the Association of Surgeons of India began in 2002, when I took my first steps as a member of the West Bengal Chapter Executive Committee. What started as a humble beginning has evolved—through trust, mentorship, and continued responsibility—into a commitment spanning over two and a half decades to one of the world’s largest surgical bodies.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of learning from visionary leaders and working alongside dedicated colleagues who have shaped my understanding of service, leadership, and the true spirit of ASI. Being nurtured from the grassroots level has given me a deep appreciation of the aspirations and challenges faced by surgeons across our nation.
ASICON 2025 marked an emotional and defining moment in this journey—a culmination of years of dedication, reflection, and inspiration drawn from the stalwarts of our association. It reinforced in me a renewed sense of purpose and responsibility toward this great institution that has given me so much.
Encouraged by respected seniors, peers, and fellow surgeons from across the subcontinent, I now humbly present myself as a candidate for the esteemed office of President of the Association of Surgeons of India. This decision stems not from ambition alone, but from a deep sense of duty—to serve, to strengthen, and to help shape the future of ASI in an evolving global surgical landscape.
With your support, I aspire to build a more inclusive, empowered, and globally connected ASI—one that uplifts every surgeon and proudly represents India on the world stage.
